Alejandro Miyar

Alejandro Miyar is a strategic advocate, pragmatic problem solver, and trusted adviser for his clients. He has a deep understanding of his clients’ business and dispute resolution goals, carefully tailoring his advice to meet their specific needs. 

As a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team based in Miami, Alejandro concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation and business law. He is an experienced litigator in business torts, breaches of contract, and commercial matters in state and federal court.  He works with a wide spectrum of clients, including entrepreneurs, midsize businesses, families, and successful individuals in both trial and appellate matters. 

Alejandro has been involved in a number of high stakes matters during his nearly ten years of law practice. More than a litigator, Alejandro is adept at applying his intellect to serve his clients’ interests. 

Prior to his legal career, Alejandro worked in public affairs and communications for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and national, state, and local government and politics. Alejandro was a leading operative for a successful Florida presidential campaign. His strong connections within the Sunshine State and South Florida, in particular, result from two decades of involvement in matters of importance within the community, including as the press secretary to a former Mayor of the City of Miami. 

For his standout work as a lawyer, Alejandro has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones to Watch” for 2021-2022 and among “10 to Watch” by Miami Law Magazine. He was also the recipient of the "Young Lawyer on the Rise" Professional Excellence Award from Daily Business Review in 2017. He practiced law with a national law firm before joining Berger Singerman that same year.

Alejandro is a graduate of Ransom Everglades School in Coconut Grove, Florida, Haverford College in Pennsylvania, and the University of Miami School of Law. He resides in South Miami with his wife and two children.
