MIAMI, FLORIDA – January 5, 2021 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Samuel J. Capuano, Nicole Levy Kushner and Alejandro Miyar have been elevated to Partner and Caitlin Trowbridge to Of Counsel.
In addition to the above promotions, Berger Singerman opened its West Palm Beach office and welcomed many great new team members in 2020, bolstering both its Dispute Resolution and Business Finance and Tax teams.

Elevated to Partner
Sam focuses his practice on commercial insolvency matters and litigation in bankruptcy proceedings, Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors proceedings, receiverships, proceedings supplementary, and out-of-court workouts. He has extensive experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, bankruptcy trustees, assignees, receivers, landlords, tenants, asset purchasers, officers, directors, and equity and other interest holders.
Nicole Levy Kushner
Elevated to Partner
Nicole concentrates her practice on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state court including commercial real estate litigation, commercial lease litigation, business and contract disputes, corporate governance disputes, and employment litigation. Nicole currently serves as a board member of the Broward County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, co-chair of the Young Advocate Subcommittee of the Business Torts and Unfair Competition Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, a member of The Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee and is a graduate of Leadership Miami’s Class of 2017. Nicole received her Juris Doctor, Master of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
Alejandro Miyar

Alejandro is a trusted adviser who practices in complex litigation in federal and state court. He has successfully represented individuals, families, and entities in a variety of business matters spanning borders and industries. Alejandro’s practice is concentrated on high-stakes commercial disputes, which often involve public companies, partnerships, and international interests. His practice experience also includes regulatory and internal investigations, as well as bankruptcy-related litigation. Alejandro was named to the “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America and is a recipient of the Daily Business Review’s “On the Rise” award.
Caitlin Trowbridge

Caitlin represents individuals and corporate entities in a variety of state and federal litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, securities law violations, breach of contract and warranty claims, and officer and director liability. She manages all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and various motions, researching and preparing memoranda, conducting depositions, arguing motions before the court, interviewing clients and witnesses, and negotiating and preparing settlement agreements.
