Berger Singerman Welcomes Allen D. Moreland to its Business, Finance and Tax Team

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Allen D. Moreland has joined the firm as a partner on the firm’s Business, Finance & Tax Team. Moreland brings decades of experience to the firm’s thriving International & Cross Border Transactions practice, which assists clients with both inbound and outbound transactions and provides counsel for foreign clients in planning and implementing their commercial activities in the United States.

Moreland possesses more than three decades of multi-disciplinary business law experience and has advised his clients on highly sophisticated, cross-border Latin American and Caribbean financing and corporate transactions. Moreland represented the government of Belize in five separate sovereign bond transactions totaling over $1 billion. He has more than 10 years of experience practicing law in Brazil and he is a naturalized Brazilian.
Moreland joins Berger Singerman with experience at leading law firms in Brazil and the United States, particularly in Florida and New York. He concentrates his work on providing legal counsel on high-yield Eurobonds and sovereign bond issuances, structured finance transactions, and all types of lending transactions. Additionally, Moreland advises on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
Moreland pursued his undergraduate education at Northwestern University where he received a B.A. with Highest Distinction in History and German. He then went on to receive his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Moreland is fluent in Portuguese and German. He is currently admitted to the New York State Bar only.
