Nikki Branch is an associate based in Berger Singerman’s Fort Lauderdale office and a member of its Dispute Resolution team. Nikki focuses her practice on a wide range of complex commercial and business litigation matters, including business and contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, statutory violations, commercial real estate litigation, and general civil liability cases in both state and federal court. She also represents clients in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, from pre-litigation disputes and administrative proceedings to state and federal court cases and appeals, relating to enforcement of restrictive covenants, wage and hour litigation, public and private whistleblower actions, contractual disputes, and complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Additionally, Nikki counsels employers on best workplace practices and preventative employment relations policies in order to avoid or minimize claims and liabilities and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. She also has experience drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and internal company policies, as well as employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, and other various contracts clauses to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.
Nikki earned her law degree from Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated ninth in her class and was inducted into the Florida State University Chapter of The Order of the Coif, a national legal honor society. In addition to serving as the President for Florida State’s nationally-ranked Trial Team, Nikki served as a Staff Editor for Florida State University Law Review. She also interned at the Florida Supreme Court, where she worked closely under the guidance of Justice Alan Lawson. Her bar exam response on Florida and Federal Constitutional Law was selected to be published by the Florida Board of Bar Examiners in their 2022 Florida Bar Examination Study Guide and Selected Answers to assist students preparing for the Florida bar exam.
