James Eising is an associate on Berger Singerman’s Business Reorganization Team and a resident in its Tampa office. He represents debtors, creditors, and fiduciaries in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters. He has experience handling cases in the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, as well as Delaware and New York, assisting clients with Chapter 11 proceedings, adversary complaints, and First Day motions.
Before joining the firm, James worked as a bankruptcy associate at a Florida-based law firm and served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Delano and Judge Colton in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida.
Prior to practicing law, James served as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army’s 5th Special Forces Group, holding leadership roles in strategic planning and operations.
