“State insurance regulators recently authorized early cancellation and nonrenewal of policies of three Florida-based insurers as the insurance industries continues to struggle due to rising claims costs. With other insurers looking to shed risky policies as well, more customers are likely to face the chopping block in the coming months, especially with the NOAA’s recent prediction of another above-average hurricane season.”
