Department of Business and Professional Regulation Increases Fees for Condominium and Homeowners Association Estoppel Certificates and Transfer Fees

Pursuant to the authority granted to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (“DBPR”) in Sections 718.116(8)(i) and 720.30851(9), Florida Statutes, to set fees for estoppel certificate and transfer fees every five (5) years, DBPR has increased the fees which may be charged for condominium association and homeowners association estoppel certificates as well as condominium association transfer fees. The fees which may be charged for estoppel certificates are now as follows:

Preparation and Delivery of an Estoppel Certificate |
Not more than $299.00 |
Estoppel Certificate Requested on an Expedited Basis and Delivered within 3 Business Days |
An additional $119.00 |
If the Unit/Parcel is Delinquent in Payment to the Association |
An additional fee not to exceed $179.00 |
For Multiple Units/Parcels Owned by the Same Owner which are Simultaneously Requested from the Same Association and there are no Past Due Monetary Obligations Owed to the Association |
Total Fee may not exceed, in the aggregate, the following: 25 or fewer units/parcels: $896.00 26 to 50 units/parcels: $1,194.00 51 to 100 units/parcels: $1,791.00 More than 100 units/parcels: $2,985.00 |
Condominium Association Transfer Fees have been increased to $150/applicant.
The updated fees have been posted to the DBPR’s website.
