Berger Singerman's Marianne Curtis Receives 2019 Outstanding Woman Lawyer of Achievement Award

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Marianne Curtis, a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, has been recognized as the 2019 Outstanding Woman Lawyer of Achievement Award honoree by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors (YLD). She will be presented with the award at a ceremony on Thursday, June 27 at The Florida Bar’s Annual Convention in Boca Raton.
The Outstanding Woman Lawyer of Achievement Award honors and celebrates a woman lawyer or judge who excels in her field, possesses an excellent reputation for integrity, exhibits dedication to her community and her profession through Bar-related or similar activities, and who demonstrates a commitment to the success and advancement of young women lawyers.

An associate at Berger Singerman and a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, Curtis represents a diverse group of clients and handles litigation involving employment matters, business disputes, and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Marianne served as a Special Assistant with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida and was an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.
Co-chair of the Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyer’s Young Lawyers Committee, Marianne is well-known for her involvement and service in the South Florida legal community. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Dade County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Section and DIBIA Dream. She received the “Rising Star Award” at both the 2019 Women of Distinction Judicial Gala and the 2019 MDFAWL Installation Gala. Marianne also dedicates her time giving back to her alma mater, the University of Miami, where she earned her B.A. (cum laude), her J.D. (cum laude) and played on the women’s basketball team. Recently, Marianne was also a panelist at the University of Miami School of Law’s Collegiate Athlete Legal Society Panel discussion.
