Berger Singerman Secures a Verdict in Favor of Client Involving an Intellectual Property Dispute

Berger Singerman is pleased to announce that after a three week jury trial in Federal Court involving an intellectual property dispute, Lenny Samuels, Jeffrey Wertman and Gavin Gaukroger of the firm's Dispute Resolution Team, secured a verdict in favor of our client, Star Brite. Gold Eagle Co. accused Star Brite of engaging in False Adverting in connection with its leading product, Star Tron. Star Tron is a unique enzyme based fuel additive, designed for use in all fuels, and makes claims that it can cure and prevent problems E10 problems. Gold Eagle asserted that this claim, and many other claims made by Star Tron were false in violation of the Lanham Act. After reviewing reams of scientific and other support for Star Tron’s claims, the jury rendered a verdict that Star Brite did not engage in false adverting.
