Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is proud to announce it will be recognized in two categories at the 2021 M&A Advisor’s 15th Annual Turnaround Awards: Distressed M&A Deal of the Year ($50MM-$100MM) and Industrial Deal of the Year. The annual Turnaround Awards celebrate the year’s leading distressed M&A transactions, restructuring, refinancing, products and services, firms, and deal makers.
The firm was recognized in the 2021 Distressed M&A Deal of the Year ($50MM-$100MM) for its successful representation of The Palm Restaurant Group, one of the most well-known steakhouse brands in the United States, in its sale to an affiliate of Landry’s Inc. Additionally, the firm was recognized as the 2021 Industrial Deal of the Year for its work in the restructuring and majority capitalization of Frontpoint Security, a leading provider of premium do-it-yourself ("DIY") home security and smart home technology in the United States.
“We are proud of our Business Reorganization Team members. Our Reorg Team has played meaningful roles in many of the largest reorganization cases, distressed M&A transactions and out of court restructurings in Florida and beyond for over three decades,” said Paul Steven Singerman, co-chair of Berger Singerman and recipient of the 2019 M&A Advisor’s Lifetime Achievement Award. “We are gratified by this recognition and honored to be in the company of the other fine honorees.”
The benchmark for restructuring excellence, the prestigious 15th Annual Turnaround Awards will be presented during the 2021 Distressed Investing Summit to be held on September 29th, 2021, in New York, New York.
