Berger Singerman Katie S. Phang Named a 2018 South Florida Business Journal Influential Business Women

MIAMI – March 26, 2018 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Katie S. Phang has been recognized as one of South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Business Women of 2018. She will be presented with the award at a luncheon on Friday, May 11th at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina in Fort Lauderdale.
The Influential Business Women program honors 25 women in South Florida who have a strong record of leadership, performance and innovation within their respective industry, as well as meaningful community involvement.

A partner at Berger Singerman and a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, Phang represents a diverse group of clients in complex commercial litigation, family law, hospitality and gaming litigation, real estate litigation and white collar criminal defense and special investigations. She has more than 18 years of trial experience in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Phang was a founding partner with Arrastia, Capote & Phang, LLP and she also held positions at the Miami-Dade County and Broward County State Attorney's offices, where she rose to the level of homicide prosecutor and division chief.
A Legal Contributor on MSNBC, NBC News and other media outlets, Phang has been consistently recognized as a “Top Lawyer in Corporate and Business Law” by South Florida Legal Guide, one of Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite,” and as a “Rising Star” by the Daily Business Review. She is currently the President of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, serves as the Vice-Chair of the City of Miami Beach’s Design Review Board, and is a Vice-President of the University of Miami Alumni Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
