Berger Singerman Grows Intellectual Property Practice with Addition of Geoffrey Lottenberg

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that intellectual property lawyer Geoffrey Lottenberg has joined the firm as a partner on the Dispute Resolution Team. Lottenberg will continue to serve his multinational client base from Berger Singerman’s Fort Lauderdale office.
Lottenberg focuses his practice on the procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights, business and technology law, and complex commercial litigation. He works with clients of all sizes, ranging from individual inventors to large corporations in IP disputes such as patent and trademark infringement, false designation of origin, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets and more. Lottenberg is proficient in many engineering and mathematical arts, including thermodynamics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software, and business methods.

In addition to his work for clients related to domestic intellectual property issues, Lottenberg has experience managing foreign intellectual property portfolios under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. He has also developed a strong reputation for his expertise in the negotiation and drafting of trademark, copyright, license and patent agreements, assignments, asset transfers, Internet and software-as-a-service terms and conditions, privacy policies, and general business and technology contracts.
Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Lottenberg was a partner at the Fort Lauderdale office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith where he specialized in intellectual property and technology law, and an associate at Malin, Haley, DiMaggio, & Bowen. Lottenberg was named a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers for three consecutive years, from 2015-2018.
He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is board certified by The Florida Bar in Intellectual Property. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from University of Miami School of Law, and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Florida.
