Berger Singerman Bolsters Business Finance & Tax Team with Addition of Alex Denault and its Business Reorganization Team with Clay Roberts

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Alex Denault has joined as a partner on the firm’s Business, Finance and Tax Team and that Clay Roberts joined as Of Counsel on its Business Reorganization Team. Both will be resident in the firm’s Miami office.

Alex Denault joins Berger Singerman’s Miami office and its Business, Finance & Tax Team as a partner with more than 14 years of experience counseling clients on a wide range of domestic and international transactional tax issues. Denault focuses his practice on advising businesses, entrepreneurs, and funds on federal tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other transactional tax matters. Denault was previously the Managing Director in Mergers and Acquisitions Tax at KPMG US, where he regularly led M&A tax deals, designing tax-efficient acquisition and disposition structures for clients, and managed the tax due diligence and representation and warranty insurance processes.
Denault pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting where he received a B.S. in Accounting, cum laude. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, graduating cum laude, and his LLM in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
Clay Roberts comes to Berger Singerman’s Business Reorganization Team following his tenure as Corporate and Finance Counsel at Bilzin Sumberg. Roberts pursued his B.S. in Business Economics from Georgia State University, J. Mack Robinson College of Business and earned a J.D. from George State University College of Law. Roberts previously worked as an associate at Genovese Joblove & Battista and as a Financial Restructuring associate at White & Case.
Denault and Roberts are the latest additions to Berger Singerman and its growing corporate, tax and bankruptcy practice groups.
