Berger Singerman Announces Key Leadership Appointments
New CFO Joins Firm; Marketing Leader Elevated to COO

MIAMI, FL – May 11, 2026 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce two leadership appointments: Michael R. Freiburghouse has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer, and Adrianne Lago has been named Chief Operating Officer.
“Michael brings deep experience as a certified public accountant and chief financial officer for a number of private equity portfolio companies, and Adrianne has been a member of our senior management team and a driving force in shaping our brand and direction for nearly a decade,” said Berger Singerman Managing Partner Jordi Guso. “As we move forward, their leadership strengthens our foundation and positions us well for our future.”
Michael R. Freiburghouse Joins as Chief Financial Officer
Freiburghouse brings nearly two decades of experience in accounting and finance, including a decade in leadership roles. He has a strong track record of guiding organizations through periods of expansion, driving financial and operational improvements, and managing complex transactions. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Site Impact, where he led financial strategy and operations.
In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Freiburghouse will oversee all aspects of the firm’s financial function, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. He will work closely with firm leadership to support long-term objectives and advance key initiatives across the firm.

Freiburghouse earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, and a Master of Accounting from Florida State University. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.
Adrianne Lago Named Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Adrianne Lago will oversee day-to-day operations and execution of the firm’s priorities. She will partner with leadership to improve efficiency, strengthen coordination and collaboration across teams, and team member retention. Her focus will include refining internal processes, enhancing client service delivery, and ensuring the firm’s operations align with long-term objectives.
Since joining the firm in 2017, Lago has played a central role in advancing the firm’s brand and market presence. As Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, she led the evolution of the firm’s marketing and business development functions, strengthening brand visibility, and expanding key client service areas to meet changing client needs. Lago has also worked closely with leadership to align brand positioning with operational execution, supporting the firm’s continued advancement and scalability.
Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Lago served for over a decade in senior operations and marketing roles at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Strategic Communications from American University.
