AJ Fernandez
Associate
AJ Fernandez is an associate based in Berger Singerman's Miami office, and a member of the Business, Finance, and Tax team. AJ’s corporate law training includes spending his first summer of law school with the Miami Dolphins in-house corporate counsel, working on M&A deals as a summer associate at Berger Singerman, and a semester-in-practice with Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
AJ is passionate about legal teaching and increasing access to legal education. AJ was a teaching assistant for Legal Writing in law school, aspires to teach corporate and M&A related coursework while remaining a full-time practitioner, and was accepted into Harvard University’s 2023-24 master’s in education cohort before deciding to start at Berger Singerman in Fall 2023.
AJ is committed to helping Miami’s vulnerable homeless population-including veterans, families, and unaccompanied youth-gain access to a brighter future through housing, mental health services, substance abuse programs, education, and workforce and skill development. AJ sits on the board of directors at Camillus House, the largest organization serving the homeless in South Florida.
