Berger Singerman attorney Javier L. Vazquez, who represents Violet Capital in the application, said the change in zoning aligns with the county’s master plan for the area and the future transit corridor. The property is a few blocks east of Dixie Highway and the South Dade TransitWay, where the county seeks to develop a bus rapid transit system. The county approved density increased in the area to generate more ridership in the future.
