Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Andrew B. Zelman, partner and member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, has been recognized as a 2019 South Florida Business Journal 40 Under 40 award honoree. He will be presented with the award at a luncheon on August 2nd at Jungle Island in Miami.
South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award recognizes young professionals in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties for outstanding success in business and contributions to their communities. They were selected from hundreds of nominations and represent some of the region’s most entrepreneurial and influential young leaders.
“Andrew is a great young lawyer. He has a great work ethic and he lives our culture of providing passionate client service. All of us at Berger Singerman are thrilled for Andrew and for this richly deserved recognition,” said Paul Steven Singerman, Co-Chair of Bergen Singerman. “Andrew’s future is unlimited.”
Resident in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Zelman joined Berger Singerman in 2018 as an associate following several years handling a wide range of complex commercial disputes and labor and employment cases at an AmLaw 100 firm. He was quickly promoted to partner within months after joining Berger Singerman. In his business litigation practice, Zelman routinely represents companies of all sizes and across multiple industries in a variety of matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, fraud, intellectual property, and class action cases in state and federal courts. His employment law practice focuses on counseling and advising management to ensure compliance with labor laws as well as defending businesses in employment-related litigation.
Zelman recently completed his term as chair of a Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar, and is currently a member of the Florida Bar’s Federal Court Practice Committee and the Federal Bar Association’s South Florida Chapter.
