Berger Singerman Welcomes Arun Ravindran to its Dispute Resolution Team

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Arun Ravindran has joined the firm as an associate on its Dispute Resolution Team. Ravindran will be resident in the firm’s Miami office.
For the past five years, Ravindran served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Florida. He has tried numerous jury trials to verdict and first-chaired dozens of pre-trial hearings. In addition to defending healthcare fraud, bank fraud, drug conspiracy, and weapons exportation cases, Ravindran represented a former CEO of a concert promotion company in a $300 million Ponzi scheme, conducted a two-week jury trial in a tax preparation fraud case, and litigated sixteen cases before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, including two oral arguments.
In 2013, Ravindran served as a law clerk to United States District Judge Patricia A. Seitz. Prior to his clerkship, Ravindran was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and served as a Judge Advocate. During his military tenure, he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Ravindran completed his B.A. and J.D. at Emory University where he served as the Managing Editor on the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. He also has a master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science
