Berger Singerman's Floyd Self Elected President of the Energy Bar Association's Southern Chapter

MIAMI, FL – MAY 23, 2016 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Floyd R. Self has been named president of the Southern Chapter of the Energy Bar Association. Self will serve a one-year term, beginning in June 2016.
The Energy Bar Association is an international, non-profit organization comprised of nearly 3,000 attorneys, non-attorney professionals and student members active in all areas of energy law. Self will oversee the Southern Chapter, which includes all members located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana (other than New Orleans), Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (other than Houston), Virginia and West Virginia.
Self is a partner with the firm and leader of the Government and Regulatory Team which represents public sector and private clients in their interactions with federal, state, regional and local governmental and other regulatory authorities. He is a Board Certified State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice Lawyer, and has has received an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Active in his profession and community, he is a member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Federal Communications Bar Association, as well as Leadership Tallahassee, the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the Boy Scouts of America, and as a board member and the Chair for the Challenger Learning Center.
Self earned his J.D. with honors and B.S., cum laude, from Florida State University and attended the University of Virginia’s graduate school program in legal history.
